These are what we did last Sunday. Our first trip to the museum for Hassan is a huge art fan.But most gallery doors were closed due to installation work so we paid flat rate, kids only. But blessing in disguise,we had a great family activity time as the pics below,a 'as long as many as creative as you want' arty session in a hall within the building premise.
We had a fantastic time creating stuff with futuristic theme in mind, silver papers and all .We all started with apa nak buat ni eh? session is ending..bla bla...and because we all star karat masuk session,we were the last family to leave. We were quite apologeticlah because the workshop assistants were too kind to tell us to leave so we asked if we had to leave when due time.Actually we were too comfortable with the cool aircon and pipe in music that complimented the aura of being there..heh.The very warm n friendly assistants told us cheerfully that it was ok for us to stay as long as we want and no hurry to finish off tah apa2 aku create tu lah..And sebab naik lemak dah kasi chan kita pun stay lah lama2....betul feeling satu macam lah gi sana.Tak dapat pergi europe, feeling europe ni macam pun jadi lah...ahaks.
So bila dah warm up dengan amoi peramah situ, kita bual2 about the worth of art in spore, and surprised to know some info how art is viewed and recognised here...chett!The amoi is a postgraduate from ntu studied arts there and she shared a lot of stuff about art in spore and all, something that I had never discussed in my life with anyone as you know, nak berbual pasal art kan mesti kena bual dengan a mutual art fan also kan.And she recommended National Museum to us to look at pieces brought in all the way from Lourve...wah liao..Hassan n I were so delighted but next change lah. Both of us are fans or monet van gogh and all things popular classics of that time and before..Hope to go this wkd kalau DH ok with it heee.
Oklah...sharing here the end product of family star karat...Cuba teka saya punya yg mana.Chicken lah ni...
After the experience,I am almost in the mood to paint,on easel board, nice palette, canvas and dozens of tube poster paints...topi senget kat kepala mcm pro included.Ok takpe berangan jauh sangat, dapur belum berasap lagi. But truly for me,art is therapeutic. It is freedom....I wish art is never graded in schools. That is true appreciation of Art.
Happy week all.
